Investing in more sustainable hygiene with the Gambini TouchMax
Installation of the Gambini TouchMax
In April 2025, MPH1865 entered a new industrial era with the commissioning of the TouchMax machine, manufactured by Italian company Gambini, at the Marenton site in Davézieux (07). The company invested nearly €5 million to acquire this revolutionary equipment dedicated to the production of paper wipes.
This is a unique piece of equipment in France, as it is the 100th unit produced by Gambini, as well as being the very first TouchMax machine installed in France in the Away From Home market.
A team built for the future
As part of the installation of the Gambini TouchMax, and in order to ensure optimal handling of the machine, MPH1865 sent eight of its operators to Gambini’s premises in Tuscany. There, they underwent a week-long immersive training program with the manufacturer’s teams and facilities in order to familiarize themselves with the machine’s technical innovations and acquire cutting-edge expertise.
“We firmly believe that industrial transformation is fueled not only by cutting-edge technologies, but above all by the passionate commitment of our teams.”
François Miribel, Deputy CEO of MPH1865
Innovation in paper embossing
The Gambini TouchMax represents a major advance in paper conversion and a real modernization of MPH1865’s manufacturing processes. The machine features cutting-edge paper embossing technology. In particular, it improves paper quality, making it soft and resistant for unmatched performance.
The products in the Renovelar range will benefit directly from this new technology as they will be processed on this machine. The TouchMax achieves paper embossing of 60 points/cm3, compared to 20 points/cm3 for standard paper wipes on the market. This results in ultra-resistant paper with high absorption speed and ever-increasing efficiency.
A responsible and sustainable commitment
The installation of this machine is part of MPH1865’s commitment to sustainable hygiene, combining technological innovation and environmental responsibility. It is in line with our local and eco-responsible production approach, optimizing our supply chain while minimizing our environmental impact. In addition, it produces high-quality paper that reduces paper consumption and waste volume.
MPH1865’s commitment, reflected in our products and our Renovelar range, is an integral part of our DNA and our daily actions. This commitment was recognized at the Pap’Awards 2025, where we were delighted to receive the Sustainable Development Initiative award. Last year, we received the Pap’Award for Best Circular Innovation for our “Renovelar Tissue Circle” recycling system for used paper towels at the 2024 Paper Night, an event that recognizes the innovative capabilities of players in the paper industry. These awards highlight MPH1865’s ongoing efforts to provide sustainable, high-performance, and responsible professional hygiene.
