Louis-Alexis Miribel founded Établissements Miribel in Vienna, a company specializing in the recovery of textile waste. It was upon his death that his daughter Marie, then aged 18, took over the company, marking the start of a great family entrepreneurial adventure.

The year 2003 saw the company invest in cutting-edge technologies, such as a first processing line equipped with DESL© (embossed-glued) technology and the development of an automatic pre-cut dispenser, called Autocut, which will become the spearhead of MPH1865.

From 2003 to 2006, MPH1865 continued its investments, notably creating an 11,000m² production site in Saint-Rambert and thus increasing its production capacity.

After an investment of 30 million euros and 18 months of work, a new paper mill dedicated to the production of wadding is being created.

With the arrival of Pierre and Laure Miribel in 2017 and 2020, the company, with this renewed energy, is opening up to new perspectives. During this period, marked in particular by the Covid-19 crisis, MPH1865 becomes an essential supplier of hydroalcoholic gel.

The company strengthens its processing capabilities by investing in a new winding machine on the Davézieux site, and is awarded the Industry prize at the Grand Prix des Lionnes.
